 “We’re not selling toilet paper here boys, we’re selling fishing tackle, fly fishing tackle.  Folks come into our stores because they want to, not because they have to.  There’s a big difference. We need to make damn sure that each and every one of ‘em gets taken care of!  It don’t matter if they pull up in a Mercedes or fall off a spud wagon, you need to treat each and every one of ‘em as good as gold. We here at Arkanglers take pride in how we treat people regardless of how much they don’t know about fishing or what they look like. If I catch any of you comin’ across as better than any of my customers, you’ll find yerself wakin’ up the next mornin’ feelin’ like you’ve been et by a wolf …”

Seriously folks, we here at Arkanglers definitely take pride in how we handle each and every one of you. We are sincerely committed to providing all our customers with as much information as possible, in a humble and credible manner. A sense of humor helps as well. If you are a novice looking for direction on a beginner’s rod and reel outfit or an accomplished angler peddling your latest book, we strive to not only meet your expectations but exceed them. There is nothing wrong with setting the expectation bar higher.

The products we carry in our stores are the best quality from the best brands in the fly fishing industry. Our goal is to offer price point products that make sense for each and every budget that walks in our door. We have fly rods that retail for $800 and we have rods that retail for $60, and every price point in between. How many do you want?  Shopping for waders? We have ten different models to choose from, starting at $99 and going up to $700. Need a new reel, check out our inventory. If Simms, Sage, Rio, Scientific Anglers, Winston, Scott, Montana Fly Company, Solitude, Umpqua, Ross, Orvis and Redington can’t get it right, no one can.

They call it a “Fly” shop for a reason. Rods, reels, waders, packs, clothing, accessories, etc… are nice and all but flies are what we do best. We have 1500 bins loaded with the best quality flies in the industry. Our retail price on standard dries and nymphs is $1.99.   We have sourced out the best flies for the best price. Did you know that between our two stores Arkanglers sells upwards of 10,000 dozen flies per year. The main reason for this is we are based on the Arkansas River. The number of flies we sell is a testimony to the quality of the Arkansas fishery. We also stock specialty patterns for the South Platte, the Taylor, the Rio Grande, Antereo Reservoir, and Spinney Mountain Reservoir. We have flies for carp, pike, bass and saltwater as well. Come in and check out the box, take your time. Or if you are like most of our customers, you know that there has never been a fish caught in a fly shop. All of our retail staff are quick to share their knowledge and interested in learning more about fly fishing, fly fishing the Arkansas, and fly fishing tackle. Our job is to Educate, Excite, and Equip whomever comes into one of our stores.
