The recent explosion in personal watercraft options has led many anglers to purchase rafts, catarafts, pontoon boats or dories without necessarily learning the skills of rowing in moving water and river safety.

Greg Felt, co-owner of ArkAnglers, has been teaching people to row safely in whitewater since 1986. He and our crew of Class IV-V qualified float-fishing guides bring a unique fishing perspective to the challenge of learning to row. Starting in gentle, moving water, we progress to reading and scouting rapids, defensive boating, river dynamics, using eddies, ferrying techniques, and river safety.

Our goal is to make anglers into safe boaters – people who know their abilities, know their limits, and who have the proper foundation so they can continue to improve their skills on their own.
