This is an exploratory course in fly fishing. The morning is spent in the classroom with presentations on selection and rigging of equipment, aquatic insects and their imitations, and trout behavior. Following a casting clinic and lunch (please bring your own), the class will adjourn to the river for demonstrations on reading the water, line management, and fly presentation. The course fee is $125/person. Participants will receive a gift certificate good for $100 in retail merchandise at either ArkAnglers store (Salida or Buena Vista). Use of equipment is also included.

One-Day Rowing Instructional
Join ArkAnglers for a day of intensive instruction – normally covering 15-20 miles of river. Starting in gentle, moving water, we progress to reading and scouting rapids, defensive boating, river dynamics, using eddies, ferrying techniques, and river safety. Our goal is to make anglers into safe boaters – people who know their abilities, know their limits, and who have the proper foundation so they can continue to improve their skills on their own.
